Check out my Slide Show!

EASTER!!!

This was Hunter's 1st Easter and although he looked so dashing, he didn't get what all the hype was about. At least I have pics to scrapbook, and that's all that matters. :) Paige had fun going on the largest easter egg hunt 1 kid could have. She is definitely as pro when it comes to finding easter eggs. Easter was a pretty full day considering, Matt and I were both supposed to speak in Sacrament meeting, it was our 6 year anniversary, and Easter. Matt wanted me to take up the whole time with my talk and since I was left 20 minutes to speak I took up the whole time so he was so relieved he got off the hook. I guess that was my anniversary gift to him. haha.
After our ward we went to my mom's ward because she was teaching primary sharing time on Easter and we were killing time before dinner. Paige joined the senior primary kids and fit right in. She was not shy at all and knew all the answers. She is a pretty smart kid. Hunter is still working on the walking. He took about 2 steps on his own today so it won't be long until he is up and running!

I'm going to commit...I think

I'm really trying to get this whole blog thing down. I keep trying to update and make my blog cute, but after several unsuccessful attempts I gave up. I decided to try it again and I think I was much more successful this time around. YEAH!! Paige just turned 4 going on 17! She keeps complaining about having to go to pre-school because she would rather go to High School (thanks to that darn High School Musical 2 movie)! She thinks it is so cool to be 17, drive, be in High School and wear "stylish" clothes. Oh boy are we going to have our hands full! :) She is still the smartest little girl I've ever met. She is learning how to read and already knows how to sound words out. She comes up with the funniest things, some of which shock us. Just this past weekend she was telling her older cousin (who happens to be 17) that she loves Disneyland, except for the Snow White ride because that "freakin' scared me!" WHAT is that all about. We had a little talk about saying "freakin" and I am going to have to add that to the list of words not to say anymore, along with stupid. I'm still working on eliminating "crap" but that is going to be a hard one to break. Paige was also telling her cousin about Little Einsteins (one of her favorite shows). I thought that it was an educational show that would make her a little more cultured. Well, when she was aksed who her favorite characters on the show were she listed off some of their names and then said, "I don't like Quincy though." I asked her why that was and she replied, "Because Quincy doesn't have good-looking hair and he is the fat one!" Oh my! So I told her that even though people may not look pretty they can still be our friends and be good people and she said, "I know. He's just not my favorite, that's all." The things she comes up with just make me laugh. Hunter is also a smart little cookie. At 8 months old he weighs 17 lbs. 11oz. He seems so small still. He is standing himself up on everything and can now stand alone. He also walks all over the house with his little walker. Within 24 hours he had started walking with his walker, said his 1st word "Uh-oh" when he bumps into things with the walker, and signed his 1st word "more." He just started saying mama and shaking his head "no." Paige and Hunter are such joys to our lives and continue to bless our home. Ugh, this time change thing is going to kill me! I better get to bed. I can totally see how blogging can become addictive once you get the hang of it!
