How can that be?! I can't believe how fast these years has flown by. She is wise beyond her years. She is so loving and caring and is such a help to me. She's become pretty sensitive as well. The other day I had all the young women over to my house for our weekly activity. I prepared the kids and told them that they would have to go to bed after the girls arrived. Well, Paige was pretty upset because she wanted to stay up. After I put her to bed she came out and put a letter on the ground for me to read.
Here's what it said, "I feel unloved and careless. All I wanted to do was be a part of the fun. P.S. I don't think you love me. P.P.S. I didn't write love Paige, from Paige
Needless to say I let her stay up for another hour. For the record I LOVE YOU PAIGEE GIRL!!!
She's in need of some mommy/daughter time so tomorrow we are going on a date! I told her she can pick whatever we do. She decided that we are going to go get Jamba Juice and then Subway for lunch and then go for a drive through the hills in Lincoln on the back roads and talk. What a sweet girl. Her polar opposite, Hunter, is choosing to go shooting the BB gun with daddy. ha
Her new pics will be coming soon!!!The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-30953635917577232852011-02-25T22:42:00.001-08:002011-02-25T22:54:09.670-08:00Blake is on the mend!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkDmX0DAbW-kTWYbXhIYHYL7rhHM0m-MH_VddZwSUeWDTZO5gq9bUBr0bdXwJhmUwRGogUqJ8TmWMKPM3PzCqCbAyUYx7g5zYOMy7ygCTzHJGSxrSGelJiI8CBLKD2faF43f91MrDmxf8/s1600/blake4.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 125px; height: 83px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkDmX0DAbW-kTWYbXhIYHYL7rhHM0m-MH_VddZwSUeWDTZO5gq9bUBr0bdXwJhmUwRGogUqJ8TmWMKPM3PzCqCbAyUYx7g5zYOMy7ygCTzHJGSxrSGelJiI8CBLKD2faF43f91MrDmxf8/s320/blake4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5577887595549649730" /></a>

So after a rough start our baby boy is on the mend...FINALLY!!! At 10 days old I thought he had a cold, but took him to the doctor to make sure. Turns out he tested positive for influenza. He was doing well so they didn't hospitalize him. Then at 4 weeks old he get a really bad cold on top of just recovering from the flu! DARN having babies born in the winter! His cold turned into RSV and he was hospitalized for 3 days. He is such a trooper and still a great baby. He's now much better, but we are taking extra precautions and keeping him away from other children and babies so he doesn't get anything else.
On a lighter note, we just got his pictures taken and he's going to be a heart breaker...he's already stolen mine!

The long anticipated day came on January 14, 2011 at 9:41am when we welcomed our new little baby boy, Blake Thomas Johnson, to our family. He was born weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 21 inches long. By the time we left the hospital though he was down to 7 lbs. 10 oz. (we've never had a baby that small before). People kept commenting on how big he was and we would just laugh because we thought he was so tiny!
Blake came into this world via c-section and all went well and very smoothly. I, Rosanne, am recovering quite well and it's been my easiest recovery yet! Unfortunately little Blake started off with some issues with jaundice and after having his heel pricked for blood 6 times, being weighed at the doctor's office daily and being under a phototherapy blanket 24/7 for a few days he's finally jaundice FREE! As hard as we tried to keep the germs away, his loving older brother, Hunter, shared his cold germs and now our little guy has a cold. Other than that he is a healthy and happy baby.
He really is the best baby I've ever had or seen. He rarely ever cries and if he does it only lasts a few seconds. He is such a sweet and happy boy and is so adorable too. We are all so in love with him and the kids are adjusting well to having another baby around.
Here are some pictures of little Blake Thomas Johnson. Enjoy!

I have never understood why people want to wait to find out what they are having (boy or girl). Something about being surprised when the baby is born. Well, not us. We gathered around the ultrasound screen as a family and were surprised all together...and it's probably a good thing too. Now we have time to prep the kids so they will be sooooo excited when our new little addition joins our family in January (date still to be decided).
We all voted and the consensus was that the baby was a girl.
and they official word is (well 95% sure).....................................
It's
a
<strong>
BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!</strong>
The kids are warming up to the idea (they were pretty dead set on it being a girl). We are excited though and happy that the baby is healthy. Now on to figuring out a name. Feel free to give your ideas (Hunter was a suggestion from my cousin and we actually used it). Although we've already been advised about Gunner or Fisher and how they would be great, that will not be happening...we aren't quite that redneck. haThe Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-21130707646963171452010-05-26T00:35:00.000-07:002010-05-26T00:37:08.144-07:00It's a.....BABY!!! After 2 long years of trying we are FINALLY pregnant again. The kids are excited. Paige is praying for a baby girl. ha
Hunter doesn't quite get it yet, but is excited. We are thrilled. Baby #3 due Jan. 15th 2011. I told her that was not appropriate and not to do it again!
Today when I went to pick-her-up from school, I went to talk to her teacher about the whole kissing thing, so she knew I had talked with her about it already. Before I even mentioned it to the teacher she says to me, "Today Paige kissed Jake at school today and made him cry because he was so embarrassed." So I had another talk with her.
Her response as to why she keeps doing it...."Mom, I'm just trying to find my kissing mate."
"YOUR WHAT???!!!" Apparently she has been watching a bit too much Discovery Kids Channel! The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-81614177816421112002010-01-14T00:12:00.000-08:002010-01-14T00:16:23.553-08:00MLK Day??Paige comes home from school the other day saying, "Mom, did you know there was a king who lived a long, long time ago that had a dream?! On our trip back from Utah, Paige lost her first tooth! It was on January 3rd we had just finished eating dinner in Elko and Paige asked if there was a bone or something stuck in her teeth. When I examined her mouth I told her that her toother was loose and almost ready to come out. I wiggled it a bit, but it wasn't quite ready. I told her that it would probably take a little while still for it to come out. We got back in the car and within 5 minutes she had wiggled and pulled her first tooth out!!!
She was so excited. Then after a few minutes she started to cry. I asked her what was wrong and she said, "I don't want to have to go to speech therapy!"
Mommy: What are you talking about?
Paige: When kids can't talk properly our teacher makes them go to speech.
Mommy: Paige, you can talk properly.
Paige: No, I can't say my "s" properly because I lost a tooth. My teacher taught us the all I want for Christmas song and when you lose your 2 front teeth you can't talk right.
Mommy: Paige, honey, you will be fine.
(I actually had to have her talk to Nana so that she would be comforted that she wouldn't have to go to speech).
She was happy when she found the 4 quarters that the tooth fairy left. When she woke we were in a hotel and it looked as if the tooth fairy might have forgotten to leave the money, but after she took a quick trip to the potty, mommy helped her find it under a near by pillow. *wink*The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-9371139659084931742010-01-13T23:36:00.000-08:002010-01-14T00:18:03.077-08:00Almost 6 going on 16!!!!Where has my poor innocent baby gone??!! A few funny stories on my sweet baby girl, Paige.
A few weeks ago as I was picking up Paige from school she got in the car and was in a very bad mood. She told me that I was so mean for not allowing her to have a dog. I sweetly reminded her that mommy and daddy decided to have children and not animals, because mommy is only cleaning up after one poopy thing at a time. That answer was apparently not acceptable. Here's how it the conversation went:
Mommy: Paige don't you want to have another brother or sister some day?
Paige: (starts sobbing) No! No! Hunter is too much work for me! He hits me, takes my toys, doesn't listen and obey....Boys are just too hard.
Mommy: I know. Believe me I have those days too.
Paige: Can't you just send him back?
Mommy: Honey, it doesn't work that way. Maybe our next baby will be a girl.
Paige: Okay, if it is a girl then it will be okay. But only a girl!
Mommy: I can't make any promises, I don't really have any control of that though.
She just couldn't drop the subject, so after getting really frustrated I told her that she can no longer ask for a dog.
MOMMY: Mommy and Daddy know that you want one and when we are ready for one WE WILL TELL YOU!!!!

Yesterday, while driving in the car Paige and I had quite a deep discussion. This is how it began...
Paige: "Mom, is Santa Claus real?"
Me: "Do you think he is?"
Paige: "I don't know. I believe in Christmas magic though."
Me: "That's good. Santa lives in your heart as long as you believe."
Paige: "Well, who made Santa? Did Heavenly Father make Santa or did Santa make himself?"
Me: "Heavenly Father created all of us, so I guess He made Santa too."
Paige: "Okay so then did Heavenly Father give Santa the magic too?"
Me: "I don't know where the magic comes from. But miracles happen all year round and happen a lot around the Christmas time too. So I would say the magic is called the Christmas spirit or the magic of Christmas so it would come from Heavenly Father."
Paige: "So is Santa a REAL person?"
Me: me changing the subject...."Oh Paige, what do you want Santa to bring you for Christmas?!"
Paige: "Polly pocket with the dolphins and slide."
Me: (by now I'm so flustered I totally almost ruin everything)! "Where would I find that? I've never seen one before."
Paige: "Mom, Santa makes all the toys with his elves so he knows already!"
Me: "Oh, that's right. Totally."
WHO IS THIS CHILD?!?! lol She amazes me and challenges me intellectually already and she's only 5! Do I tell her about Santa already? I guess it's all me, I don't want to ruin it for me and crush her either. She can't question Santa until she's at least 10! I can totally imagine her announcing at school, "Guess what?! Santa is NOT real!" Then I will have a bunch of angry parents after me! lol
Any suggsestions on what to do or say? I actually tried to call my mom and have her answer Paige's questions, but couldn't get a hold of her. ahhhhh! The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-70769359624658966022009-11-19T00:13:00.000-08:002009-11-19T00:21:29.606-08:00Proud mommy momentOur amazingly intelligent daughter is pretty darn incredible. She astonishes us on a daily basis. The other day she had to do homework and share something that she is thankful for. She wrote: I am thankful for prayers. Then she proceeded to draw a picture of her kneeling and above her a bunch of angels and to the side of them, Heavenly Father and Jesus. They both had those little talking bubbles above them with words written in them. I asked what it said in the talking bubbles and she said that H.F. and Jesus were telling the angels about her prayer so they could help her. awwwwww She is so sweet and becoming quite sensitive as well.
She has been struggling with bad dreams lately. She says her prayers every night and then asks us to say a prayer with her for her. If only we all had as great of faith as our precious children.
My kids make me want to be a better mom and person. I have a long ways to go, but I'm grateful that my family still loves me even if I'm not perfect. :)
I'm training Hunter to give me positive reinforcements by saying, "you're the best mommy in the whole wife world!" every time he wants something. He's very mischievious but stinkin' adorable. He loves getting into EVERYTHING! When I hear him in the kitchen and then it gets quiet I will ask him what he is doing and he always responds, "I not doing nothing!" or "It's okay momma, I not eatin nothin'." He cracks us up! :)The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-35442822617955486062009-09-25T09:26:00.000-07:002009-09-25T09:44:08.333-07:00Pictures, Pictures, Pictures<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8ks1PiFM-pk2rKSG_NUIgaXoorQVQl0etR2UYnssJoHM8VDpzH2dNZJIEhxkRIhKyCZnWv3WLcisLGZ01auU4kMf6ttJK6NIsNN4hazAMDvTqkyhbwNKOxBAiu7XdKP6AeUzF30Gw5ig/s1600-h/DSCN1112.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8ks1PiFM-pk2rKSG_NUIgaXoorQVQl0etR2UYnssJoHM8VDpzH2dNZJIEhxkRIhKyCZnWv3WLcisLGZ01auU4kMf6ttJK6NIsNN4hazAMDvTqkyhbwNKOxBAiu7XdKP6AeUzF30Gw5ig/s320/DSCN1112.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5385445282659270370" /></a>

I really need to do better about blogging since I've not been very good about writing in my kids' journals. Hunter is definetely 2! He is into everything and throws fits when he doesn't get what he wants. There are days when I really hope her grows out of it...and soon! He is also a crack up. He loves to sing "A Boom Chick-A-Boom" all the time. He learned it at family summer camp. (We LOVE family summer camp)!!

He doesn't like to perform in front of people, but then other times he sings up a storm. He is the class clown of our family. I can't believe that a 2 year old can tell a joke, but he actually does, and it's funny too. A couple of weeks ago we were in the car coming home and he said, "Ewwwww! Mommy my finger is stinky with poop!"
Me: "What? Did you poop in your diaper and then touch it? Keep your finger up, don't touch anything we are almost home!"
Hunter: "Ok, mommy. My finger really stinks. Look Paige I got poop on my finger."
Me: "Okay we are home now, let's go wash your hands and change your diaper. Wait! There's no poop on your finger and you don't even have a poopy diaper!"
Hunter: "Ha ha mommy! I was just joking you! Just kidding. That funny!"
I can't believe that he's trying to trick me. He's is quite the jokester.
Now Paige on the other hand is starting to come out of her shell. When she started kindergarten she was too nervous and shy to stand in front of the class and resite her nursery rhymes, but now she will. She LOVES kindergarten!!!! <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSH67EzmS49r5WqXh4JWJmyeDGiV0_BBdYEO9z6ZNnuFzEk9uDUV0LgbMRDhvEr-5kyGjkotAlnZz5Zy5YZRjLeu7A55yd8PVB8ikbzJk8P5msNaH7FQL2C2CXYTy-gOpUMcugaFJn36o/s1600-h/DSCN1033.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSH67EzmS49r5WqXh4JWJmyeDGiV0_BBdYEO9z6ZNnuFzEk9uDUV0LgbMRDhvEr-5kyGjkotAlnZz5Zy5YZRjLeu7A55yd8PVB8ikbzJk8P5msNaH7FQL2C2CXYTy-gOpUMcugaFJn36o/s320/DSCN1033.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5385439357780805986" /></a>

She brings a book almost everyday to class and reads to her classmates. She is now obsessed with dinosaurs and loves to watch Dinosaur train on pbs. Her and Hunter tell everyone about herbavores, carnivores and omnivores and quadripeds, bipeds, etc. She is like a little sponge. Her teacher thinks that she has a photographic memory. The other day she watched the show and by the end of it she memorized the Dinosaur ABC's. That means that she can name a dinosaur for every letter of the alphabet. I watched the same show with her and can name only a few. There are some names that I still can't even pronounce! She is quite amazing. Starting on Monday she is going to be attending a 1st-2nd grade class for reading since she's already reading at a 2nd grade level.
As for me, I just got back from Fresno. I was there to help Delight while she gave birth to Moana (Mo-Anna) Abish Lydiate. Delight was amazing and it was such an incredible moment. It was cool to be on the other side of the birthing process. I've never seen a birth, except for my own children. Our bodies are amazing things and birth is such a miracle. That was definetely an experience that I will never forget.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9fOqyDzyEH7zVY9n8YNUdD5xEKFEEmZAte0yNLI1dbR-nkkQMOJkiboZYbpk7V1NKy_GDd9apDdBS_CUF0RZIlTJBuBoIhuJ1YoidZFt37nr963wKhIMbIylmBsyee6cm8S8-Iy8VnZM/s1600-h/DSCN1166.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9fOqyDzyEH7zVY9n8YNUdD5xEKFEEmZAte0yNLI1dbR-nkkQMOJkiboZYbpk7V1NKy_GDd9apDdBS_CUF0RZIlTJBuBoIhuJ1YoidZFt37nr963wKhIMbIylmBsyee6cm8S8-Iy8VnZM/s320/DSCN1166.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5385441729512448546" /></a>

We have season passes to Six Flags and have already been 3 times. Hunter wakes up almost every morning asking to go see the dolphins and orcas at Six Flags. What 2 year old knows that a killer whale is an orca! :)
Paige is preping for kindergarten and soccer this summer. Her new kindergarten teachers told her that she needed to be able to count to ten and recognize her letters. She responded telling them that she could count to over 100 and can read by herself already! My mom, a reading specialist for elementary school, tested her and said that Paige is already at a 2nd grade reading level! Paige has always loved to read and then one day a few months ago she just started to read to herself. We are going to start chapter books this summer.
Hunter is so hilarious and does the funniest things. They both keep me on my toes. Love my little girl and guy!!The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-75693326727454863912009-05-13T23:29:00.000-07:002009-05-13T23:36:14.325-07:00My Little Diva!Tonight was Paige and my monthly mommy/daughter date night and after her school open house she wanted to go to the mall and go shopping. (Yes, I have raised her right)! :) We were trying on tons of clothes and made a yes, no and maybe pile of clothes. Everything she tried on she put in the "yes" pile. I had to finally explain to her that just because they are in the "yes" pile doesn't mean that I'm going to buy them. She asked why and I told her that daddy won't be too happy with us if we spend a lot of money. Her response, "Mommy, is daddy our boss or something?" So funny. Oh is she going to be a fun teenager. :) My training her for shopping is going to probably bite me in the butt! The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-56942211691639143322009-02-08T16:46:00.000-08:002009-02-08T19:00:15.088-08:00Hunter! Hunter!!Hunter is quite the boy! Oh my goodness! He has a very strong personality. :) He is into everything right now and it is exhausting trying to keep up with him! The other day I was getting the kids ready for bed and Paige was getting into her pj's and I Hunter grabbed her panties and ran. I asked him to to put her panties in the dirty clothes basket, but instead he ran down the hall and came back into her room the her underwear on his HEAD!! He was laughing and so were we. He was being so silly that I had to run and get the camera and take a picture of it.
I will post it when I get home. He scares us because he doesn't have any fear and is constantly getting hurt! Within the past week he's had his normal bumps and bruises but on top of that he threw my magnetic measuring spoons and the magnet on the back came out and he swallowed it! Then he was playing at our friends house and running towards the stairs and banged his nose on the stair and now has quite the mark on his nose. The poor kid. No matter what I do he seems to always find a way to get in trouble or get hurt! Are all boys like this??!! He's definetely ALL BOY which thrills Matt. It looks like he's going to be lefthanded too, so Matt says that means he's going to have to buy him his own gun and won't be able to share with Hunter. Oh brother! That better be at least another 10 years down the road, although I would prefer it to be 20! :)The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-6278108550486105922009-02-02T12:28:00.000-08:002009-02-02T12:29:27.761-08:00Paige is turning 5!!<div><embed src="http://widget-ce.slide.com/widgets/slideticker.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" quality="high" scale="noscale" salign="l" wmode="transparent" flashvars="cy=bb&il=1&channel=1297036692704580046&site=widget-ce.slide.com" style="width:400px;height:320px" name="flashticker" align="middle"></embed><div style="width:400px;text-align:left;"><a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=1297036692704580046&map=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-ce.slide.com/p1/1297036692704580046/bb_t021_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide1.gif" border="0" ismap="ismap" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=1297036692704580046&map=2" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-ce.slide.com/p2/1297036692704580046/bb_t021_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide2.gif" border="0" ismap="ismap" /></a> <a href="http://www.slide.com/pivot?cy=bb&at=un&id=1297036692704580046&map=F" target="_blank"><img src="http://widget-ce.slide.com/p4/1297036692704580046/bb_t021_v000_s0un_f00/images/xslide42.gif" border="0" ismap="ismap" /></a></div></div>The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-45063184551346931352009-02-02T11:07:00.000-08:002009-02-02T11:37:45.242-08:00We are still ALIVE!!So I have crawled out of my hole now and in case you were wondering, we are still alive! Life is now finally getting back to "normal" and we are doing well. Paige is excited to be turning 5 years old next month. She tells everyone that she is going to be going to kindergarten this year, so she has to get shots! For some reason she is excited about getting shots. Silly girl. Hunter is a talking crazy boy. He is in love with everything hunting and fishing and now Thomas the Train. We just got Paige's pictures taken, she had so much fun striking a pose. The photographer said that she looked like a model and Paige thought that was so cool. She is going to give us a run for our money as she gets older. :) I am now working at Sorenson Video Relay Service as a Video Phone Interpreter and it is lots of fun.
We are doing better than ever and feel so blessed. I am now the Relief Society President in the deaf branch and Matt is the Young Mens President. We are still busier than ever, but loving life. Hope to stay in touch a bit more. :)The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-20805543603713214882008-10-16T12:02:00.000-07:002008-10-16T12:04:48.551-07:00VOTE YES on PROP 8!!!Protect marriage and our children and vote YES on Prop 8! If you research what has happened in Massachusetts, Texas and Connecticut you will be shocked at what could happen in California if Prop 8 doesn't pass. Please vote YES on Prop 8.
Check out this beautiful video on Prop 8: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmZaHbGgXH8&featureThe Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-80423938651629904272008-10-16T11:27:00.000-07:002008-10-16T11:46:53.069-07:00The joys of motherhood...I know that we all have those days where we think we are going to go insane!! Yesterday was mine, but I found solice in Pumpkin Apple Muffins! :) Every year we go to Bishop's Pumpkin Patch several times during the fall season. (So far we have been twice this year). I love love their Pumpkin Apple Muffins, but for 89 cents a piece, I thought I could make my own. So I searched the web and found an AWESOME recipe. I made some for Matt to take to work and some for us and they were gone that day. So last night I made another batch (in my Demarle mini muffin tray, which was amazing a total lifesaver). Nothing better than waking up to homemade goodies. My kids love them too. I will post the link so you can get the recipe yourself. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Pumpkin-Apple-Muffins-with-Streusel-Topping/Detail.aspx
So last week I was just called to be the Relief Society President in our Deaf Branch here in Sacramento! I'm excited and trying not to feel overwhelmed. Whew! I also just became an Independent Rep. for Demarle at Home. For any of you who are looking to make some extra money and have a blast doing it...this is the company! The products are AMAZING and pretty much sell themselves. This has been a true blessing to our family and I've only been doing it for a couple of months. You can email me at demarlerosy@yahoo.com or check it out at www.demarleathome.com if you are interested.
Paige is as funny as ever. She started watching this t.v. show called Bindi the Jungle Girl (it is the crocodile hunter's daughter's show). Paige is addicted to it and now insists that she is Paige the Jungle Girl. I caught her yesterday petting the tv because they were showing a koala bear and wanted to pet it too. :) She threw a huge fit yesterday because I wouldn't let her build a treehouse on our patio and let her have monkeys. She finally conceded and said that she wouldn't have jungle animals if only she could have a frog or a lizard! She cracks me up. I can't wait until she is a teenager!!
Hunter is talking like crazy. He pretty much says anything that we say. The other day he said, "I don't know," (sounds like "I don know"). When we say, "Who wants to go to bed!" He'll respond, "Meeeee! I don't!" On Sunday he say a picture of Jesus and pointed to it so I showed him the sign for Jesus and then he copied the sign and said, "Jesus! Jesus!" He says "AMEN!" after every prayer and fold his arms when we say it is prayer time. He's so cute and is quite the character. He definitely has a strong personality (just like his father..haha).
Even though we all have "one of those days" I wouldn't give up my special job as a mother for anything. I feel blessed to be able to be my kids' mom.The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2465770038946215719.post-45118855555534338532008-09-12T09:43:00.000-07:002008-09-12T09:57:33.233-07:00Funny quotesEveryone keeps telling me that I need to write down the funny things that Paige says, so here it goes....
Paige: "Mom, what do you want to be when you grow-up."
Me: "Well, I'm already all grown-up. I am a mom and an ASL interpreter."
Paige: "No, I mean you get more grown-up. Like, do you want to be a mail man or a garbage truck driver? Those would be good jobs to have."
Me: "No, I don't think I want to be any of those things. I think I will be a mom instead. What do you want to be when you grow-up?"
Paige: "I want to be a mommy and have 7 kids."
Me: "Ahhh. That is so sweet. Why do you want to be a mommy?" (Now I'm thinking of all the sweet responses she will have).
Paige: "Well, I want to be a cowgirl and a mommy. So, I need to have a lot of kids so they can help me on my farm!"
Me: (Smiling and trying not to laugh) "Oh. Is that why mommy's have kids, to help them do chores?"
Paige: "Yep."
Me: "No, mommy's have kids because they love them and want to raise them up to be good people and have a family together forever."
Paige: "Oh, and that too!"The Johnson Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17247527116414427201noreply@blogger.com1
